FAQ Terms used on this site
The following glossary should be read sequentially.
"User" Any user of this site. Registered Users have their own group called “Users”.
"Client" Any user who is paying for services from providers on this site.
"Provider" Any user who is offering services or products to other users on this site.
"Register" The process a user goes through initially to sign up as a member to get access to this site. Available on the “Welcome” page on the menu.
"Subscribe" The process a user goes through initially to sign up for email updates, newsletter, e-books, etc. Available on the “Welcome” page on the menu.
"Member" Any user may register for one of the following access levels:
- Free Membership
- Client Silver Level Trial Starter Membership
- Provider Associate Level Trial Starter Membership
- Provider Team Membership
- Provider Contributor Membership
- Provider Star Membership
- Provider Core Membership
"Group" A collection of Member Users with a similar aim. Groups can be public or private.
"Forum" A dialogue or an interactive inquiry around some category of topics.
"Blog" A monologue, usually given to a subscribing audience, who may or may not post comments. Any user may blog.
"Newsletter" Will be created by cherry-picking the best blogs, and emailed to our subscribers.
"Categories" A general area of concern, defined by topics. Categories are meant for broad grouping of your posts, like you might do in a table of contents. Categories are there to help identify what the content is really about. It is to assist readers finding the right type of content on your site. Categories are hierarchical, so you can sub-categories.
"Topics" An issue or a specific area of concern.
"Tag" A standardized label for a topic. Think of these as a site’s index words. They are the micro-data that can micro-categorize content. Tags are not hierarchical.
